What is your favorite dish on the Thanksgiving table?

When I was a kid we would host our relatives every few years, twelve extra guests. Kiddy table, dealing with my snotty bully cousin Dana. But there was always Mince Meat Pie, I know it was invented to use spoiled or nearly spoiled meat but my Grand Ma made it fresh and ... Ambrosia! And I am not talking about Aunt Dee's dish.
When it was just us eight I had a shot at least at a wing. Mom cooked an enormous turkey and this was before the drug pumped birds. My favorite dishes were the ones that came after the Thanksgiving Dinner, later in the day, cold potatoes and cold meat a little cranberry sauce. Then in progression, left overs reheated, sandwiches and then, ahhh turkey soup, we would scuffle to see who got to help Mom bone the turkey because wh got to nibble.
I had no idea the work involved until I did a Dickens Christmas one year, goose, home made chestnut paste, asparagas with my Hollandaise, my sauerkraut with gooseberries, I don't even remember all the dishes, the 4 different wines and port, cheese, and home made apple and mince meat pie, (but store bought filling). I was exhausted, I barely tasted the food, after clean up I sat in the very warm living room and fell asleep as everyone chatted and laughed.
The next day I gave Mom a big hug and kiss and thanked her for all that work, for all those years.
